4 out of 5 stars Not perfect but will do   May 5, 2010
Josephine (Cranford, NJ United States)
I read the reviews before buying this product. I originally wanted to get something to filter out some of the light since I noticed that my eyes get blurry after playing for an hour or so. The filters don't really help out too much with my eyes getting tired but works great to prevent scratches. Putting on the filters are not difficult at all as long as you follow the instructions. Two filters come in the package and one is specifically for the top and the other is for the touch screen. The one for the top fit almost perfectly in size. The filter on the bottom doesn't go all the way to the edges, maybe half a centimeter on all sides. This bothers me since some of my games require me to go to the edges and also if you are dragging the stylus over the edges you can feel it catching. It's annoying but not that big of a problem. Other reviewers complained about air bubbles. I had 2 when I put them on but was able to work them out with the stylus and once the DS is on you can hardly tell they are there. I've been using it for about a month now and it's still on the screen like it was the first day and I feel much more comfortable not having to worry about scratching the screen.

5 out of 5 stars Works great   April 26, 2010

I bought these filters for the second time because of how well they worked the first time around. Mine lasted about 2 months before I started noticing all the scratches it's accumulated, but better on the protective filter than on the screen itself, right? Putting the filter on is really tough, and you have to be absolutely certain that there's no dust or anything on it, or it's going to look really apparent...not that you can really see it once the DS is on anyway. I let small things like that slide. Getting rid of the air bubbles takes a little bit of time, but the tiny ones really don't affect gameplay, nor can you see it unless you're really looking once the system is on. It doesn't diminish sensitivity of the touch screen at all, so that's great, too. Removing them is really hard, but i just leave a small piece of thread at a corner that I use to pull it up once I'm ready to change it. Would totally recommend this.

5 out of 5 stars Excelent product... as long as you apply it correctly   April 25, 2010

This is absolutely the best screen protectors you can get for your DS Lite. They are very durable, and the top screen protector really does it work of reducing glare. However, for this protectors to work as they should, you should have first, a location as dust free as possible, because you have to make sure the screens are absolutely clean while applying the protectors. Second, you need patience. apply the protectors very VERY slowly, going from one side to the other of each screen. Start with the top screen, in case u mess up, at least you will not mess up with the most important protector, the touchscreen one. I know they say they are reusable, but I found it very hard to remove them and reapply them withouth they getting dust all over and getting ruined, so you pretty much have only one chance. Follow the instructions correctly, is not hard at all, each protector comes neatly sandwiched between two layers, u remove the adhesive side one, apply to the screen, then remove the other one. both layers come out neatly from the protector. In summary, an awesome product, as long as you apply it correctly.

5 out of 5 stars Works well as intended   February 1, 2010
SunnyAZ (Arizona)
Bought my 7 year old a Nintendo DS lite for Christmas and realized quickly that we needed to protect the screens as my son plays with it a lot! Well, I purchased this protective filter based on other reviews and I have to say that I am very pleased. I put the filters on fairly easily. There were just a few very tiny air bubbles at the end that were a bit hard to get out, but other than that my son doesn't even notice that protective filters are on the Nintendo DS and he actually mentioned the same to me! I would definitely recommend this product to a friend.

1 out of 5 stars FOLLOW DIRECTIONS   January 11, 2010

I want to tell everybody how important is to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS for this item. I just opened, peeled it and it was stuck. I noticed it had a lot of air bubbles, it was hard to get rid off. And after just few minutes of using it my filter was dirty and scratched all over. Then I realized that my both filters were wrong side up... I tried to fix the problem, but it was too late. Once I put filters right side up, It was impossible to use it. Filters ware dirty, had marks and scratches and bubbles all over, my DS couldn't read my writing. I had to trow it way... Here goes my 6 bucks...
