Armor Lite April 18, 2010 KT I first got the instinct to purchase one of these after seeing how others were able to customize their DS's with skins in between the case and DS. When my order arrived, it was exceptional. I was able to make and use skins. The casing works just as it should. Although as others have stated it does not let the DS get closed all the way and removing the casing I found extremely difficult since it was such a snug fit. I kept feeling like it was going to crack on me. It is good that the hinges are detachable I suppose to aid in removal of it. Other than that, this product is great. I have my custom skins and a nice shiny casing.
looks cool but not so great. :( November 4, 2009 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
my sister got a nintends ds lite for the first time and i didnt want her to break it, so i showed her this and we bought it. it looked great and all but when she tried to take it off it was extremly difficult, so i tried it and i couldnt get it off. we finaly got it off but it hurt my fingers and im suprised it didnt crack cause its only plastic. and when she tried to play a game on it the game always got messed up and it is a good game, never frozen before had no problems whatsoever. so i would not reccomend this to anyone. if i gould i would give this a zero.
Super low profile October 12, 2009 C. Howarth (Eugene, OR USA) I chose this case to stow my DS in my high-speed-low-drag deployment kit. I can slip it into most pockets or tuck it in my gear somewhere and not worry too much about it getting destroyed or damaged. It fits perfectly and is exactly what I was looking for,
DS CASE AFFORDABLE AND WORTH YOUR MONEY September 15, 2009 Blue Valentine The case came out to be pretty cheap; around [...] bucks total with shipping and all. It came in, IN JUST ONE WEEK.
The case itself is just plastic, but it's clear and fits right onto and around the DS. NO BREAKING OF CORNERS OR ANYTHING OCCURRED. It's nice and I love it, though I would've liked something to also cover the game controls of the DS as well.
For the price and money, it's worth it; those silicone cases stretch after long use *and discolor*, the other professional cases end up making the DS too big, but this one is just what you need if you're just looking from basic protection from scratches and dents.
Enjoy.
This thing works pretty well! September 13, 2009 Link King (Buena Vista, VA) Your DS Lite will pop into this case pretty easily and is also fairly easy to remove. The fact that it is clear helps to make the DS look pretty space age. It allows you to see the natural color of your DS as well. Of course, the natural sheen of the DS without the case looks so much better, but the added protection is worth it. It seems that dust gets in pretty easily but it's not too big a deal. All in all, this is a pretty good case for the DS Lite, especially for the price. P.S. Down with the DSI!
